Amazon presents new tablet and Kids Edition review
This time we have a new Fire HD 10 tablet along with the corresponding Kids Edition.
The new Amazon Fire 10 HD is rather reminiscent of the previous model, with a 10.1″ FHD (1920 x 1200) screen, 2GHz octa-core chip, 2GB of RAM, 32GB / 64GB of storage (microSD expansion), WiFi 5, 12 hour battery, Dolby Atmos support and USB Type-C jack for fast charging. From a software standpoint, the Picture-in-Picture mode and Alexa digital assistant are included, while applications like Twitch, Prime Video and Netflix are encouraged.
As for the Kids Edition, it generally has the same technical features, but includes a unique key holder to encourage it in various angles. The price includes an yearly subscription to Amazon FreeTime Unlimited with especially curated articles for young children.
It will also be accessible on October 30th for $199.99 or $349.98 if you buy two bits.
It’s the first time that Amazon presents a Kindle (eReader) at Kids Edition, using an e-ink 6″ (167ppi) display that comes with the same protective case and yearly subscription to Amazon FreeTime Unlimited. Children will probably be rewarded for the hours that they spend reading through various achievements, and there is a pre-installed Word Wise tool that shows short descriptions of hard words. In the pre-installed tools you will also find a dictionary and help to enhance the vocabulary.
